I am so happy I waited to get these. I’m a big fan of the pudding caps so when I saw these I just had to have a set. I enjoy them a lot more than I thought I would! Everglide aqua king switches make the lighting shine through insanely!
my build is a gmmk pro with polycarbonate plate, everglide aqua king switches, durock v2 stabs, and the artifact bloom glow keycaps. Glorious aura space bar really compliments this set of caps, IMO!
I absolutely love the look and feel of these keycaps. I'm using them on an NK65 entry (fire), and the south-facing LEDs work perfectly with the side-lit lettering. I had been looking for side-lit keycaps, but could not find any sets that had the right sizes for the NK65 - this one fit perfectly and looks unique.
Does a fantastic job showing off RGB - the picture doesn't do it justice. Very much worth their price.
like all pudding-style keycaps there simply aren't enough LEDs on most PCBs to fully diffuse like what the optomistic pictures show but that was well within my expectations. my main issue is that there aren't the 3 extra keys needed to make this set Alice/Arisu compatible. The positives of these though are that they have a nice texture to them out of the box they're not too smooth and not too rough the side wall font is best for south-facing LEDs and is a bit generic but not offensive, they just could be more unique. i would recommend this set for anything that's gonna be plugged in long term and is a more normal format than Alice/Arisu. Just dont expect miracle diffusion or keys its not displayed with.
They look nice but the RGB effect doesn't diffuse 100% it's more noticeable on the larger keys. The effect is nice though and the quality good. Just be aware it won't look 100% like their pictures
Love these was impressed, had a few positive comments in the office with the RGB off. When you do put the RGB on, if you have them, it's a satisfying effect. For UK ISO i did have to use a couple of keys with the wrong legends. It wasn't a deal breaker its a semi stealth keycap anyway so i bought the HyperX pudding keycap set for cheap for the Return (Enter key for the rest of you) wasn't the same quality as these but was quarter the price. Brilliant mid range OEM profile with a big impact.
This set is perfect for my South facing leds and works exactly like I expected.
There are some minor issues with the finish, some edges are sharper than others and some keys have noticeable uneveness on the sides. This is nitpicking though, especially at such a cheap price.
naker21Hi @naker21 We’re sorry to hear that the keycaps that you ordered had missing legends. While we do extensive quality control on the keycap sets at the factory, occasionally a few keycaps get missed by the inspections. We're reaching out now to get this resolved for you.
Wasn't sure how these would look with north facing LEDs, but I'm happy with this set of keycaps. Love the effect of the shine-through tops, especially in the dark. Nice upgrade to the factory keycaps that come with the Drop CTRL v2.
Recommended with South facing LEDs and clear switch bodies
The lighting effect is of course, a matter of taste... what I can say objectively is that the illumination of the keycap tops is good, but not 100% even, as can be seen in the pic... considering though that the switch bodies (Cherry MX Brown RGB with clear tops) are in the way, the diffusion is fairly effective. This keyboard (Ducky Tinker) has South facing LEDs so the side legends are well illuminated. I would certainly recommend clear switch bodies and South facing LEDs for these caps, as illumination of the legends would probably be limited with North facing LEDs, and opaque switch bodies would cast too much shadow on the tops, which are unevenly lit even with clear "RGB" switch bodies.
