I am so happy I waited to get these. I’m a big fan of the pudding caps so when I saw these I just had to have a set. I enjoy them a lot more than I thought I would! Everglide aqua king switches make the lighting shine through insanely!
my build is a gmmk pro with polycarbonate plate, everglide aqua king switches, durock v2 stabs, and the artifact bloom glow keycaps. Glorious aura space bar really compliments this set of caps, IMO!
I absolutely love the look and feel of these keycaps. I'm using them on an NK65 entry (fire), and the south-facing LEDs work perfectly with the side-lit lettering. I had been looking for side-lit keycaps, but could not find any sets that had the right sizes for the NK65 - this one fit perfectly and looks unique.
Does a fantastic job showing off RGB - the picture doesn't do it justice. Very much worth their price.
lusted after these for a while and finally purchased when they were on sale. i love them. shine through is great and legends are very readable when using them on a board. a+
Everyone knows moar RGB means computer go fast. These keycaps definitely help.
In all seriousness, these keycaps look great on my Drop CTRL V1. If my Tokyo60 PCB LEDs were brighter I would have bought another set!
The top of these keycaps allow light through such that a nice glow is produced that is neither too dim nor too bright, and they also feel nice and smooth at your fingertips. The previous keycaps I was using on my board (RK Royal Kludge RK98) were cheapo Amazon pudding-style ones that I picked up for like ten bucks, and they were fine except for the spacebar which, compared to the other keys on the board, sounded like an M80 going off every time I hit it. The board has Durock Shrimp switches, so basically everything was quiet except for the spacebar. For some reason, the spacebar in this keycap set has made it almost equally as quiet as the rest of the keys to the point where the problem is no longer there. Now I can type on this board at my office without irritating those around me, and the lighting looks better at the same time. So there's actually an added bonus to them for me that I wasn't expecting. I'm really digging these.
like all pudding-style keycaps there simply aren't enough LEDs on most PCBs to fully diffuse like what the optomistic pictures show but that was well within my expectations. my main issue is that there aren't the 3 extra keys needed to make this set Alice/Arisu compatible. The positives of these though are that they have a nice texture to them out of the box they're not too smooth and not too rough the side wall font is best for south-facing LEDs and is a bit generic but not offensive, they just could be more unique. i would recommend this set for anything that's gonna be plugged in long term and is a more normal format than Alice/Arisu. Just dont expect miracle diffusion or keys its not displayed with.
They look nice but the RGB effect doesn't diffuse 100% it's more noticeable on the larger keys. The effect is nice though and the quality good. Just be aware it won't look 100% like their pictures
