Artisan Cutlery’s Tradition folding knife is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to cutting tasks. The overall aesthetic is clean, with a single color for the handle and an appealing stonewashed blade Read More
Does anyone know if all the upgraded versions come with the larger 3.9” blade or the base 3.2” one? The first three specifically address this, but then it’s unclear if all the carbon fiber and titanium handles with better steel are large or small.
BigBuckNutzbased solely on the images, it appears all of the upgraded steel ones are the smaller blade, due to the distinct difference in the pivot. but the carbon-fiber D2 blade appears to be the 4” model.
It would be very nice if someone could confirm
I don't find things like this on Massdrop very often, but anybody that wants one of the carbon fiber versions of this knife at a cheaper cost can check it out on the Smoky Mountain Knife Works site. Never ordered from there myself, but the S35VN/CF handle version is only $86.98 there right now with the cheapest shipping option. It's not all that much less than the final cost here, but it's something to check out.
greyworlderI really liked the looks of this one (and materials for price-point made me pull the trigger on this puppy!!)... Wow, S35VN/CF?? Might have to cancel this order (although I received a $10 credit for referring someone here a couple weeks ago, so I got this for $35 with Free S&H)... Still tho, S35VN and CF is REALLY making me think about this... thanks for the info, and at least I have 4-5 days for considering between the two... That cf handle looks so good on here too... Do you have any 3xperience or knowledge of this manufacturer?? I know the name, but not much on quality and/or reputation... How do you think these might compare with the comparable price-point/materials of Bestech?? Those I LOVE for their value and craftsmanship (not only at that price-point, but even a tier or 2 above even)
SiggystyleI've heard really good things, and they have a lot of beautiful looking knives, but unfortunately all my knowledge is based on secondhand information.
namhodThey are very different. The features look similar but the handling characteristics and weight are totally different. I prefer the fit and finish of the tradition. Cut jack is lighter weight
I joined the shark drop as well as this in carbon fiber. I am unsure if I should cancel this order because this is what I received when ordering the shark.

Bent, crooked blade. This is right out of the box, just used the stone to prop it up.
A buddy of mine went to BLADE show in Atlanta and said he this line was awesome. Not sure if he saw this particlar one. Did anyone else go to the show? If you did, can youi confirm?
Lol you can say that again
I do plan to give one of these a shot one of these days, but I don't think it'll be this model. It looks fine, but doesn't excite me
The problem I have with all Artisan Cutlery knives is they don't skeletonize any of their liners. Resulting in a +6 oz knife. It seems to be a very common practice with all the other manufactures. It's a shame cause I like the design of most of their blades.
TrailBlazerI saw that some of the heavier models actually do have skeletonized liners (tomahawk I think was one), but I agree that many of their large (not minis) should prob try to drop that weight - as it shouldnt be needed for stregth/integrity based on the materials used...
