Product Description
To guess where the Osprey from Artisan Cutlery gets its name, you only need to look at its large modified-sheepsfoot blade. Shaped like a huge claw (which the fish-eating bird uses to devour its prey), the blade makes quick work of slicing tasks with little effort Read More

Cleaver
This thing feels like its on bearings when deploying, very nice action. Very heavy and very sharp blade. Weaker detent securing the blade when folded up. Nicely constructed knife, definitely not a daily.

Huge!
I went with the flat black, mostly to save money but also because I liked the way it looked with the flat G10 vs the curved. This knife overall is great and the action is nice but it's a bit on the large size for me. I'm only docking a star because it wasn't sharp when it first arrived. It's almost comical for my use, murdering boxes, but I still love it.

Almost comical- but awesome
This is definitely a different blade - but I really like it. Not at all subtle but sometimes you just feel like carrying something like this!

Ridiculous
This knife killed the folding cleaver fad for me. It's so off balance and just a terrible gimmick. I can't wait to sell it. And on a side note, this brand's logo on the pivot is quite unfortunate, if you see what I mean. I won't give it 1 star because although I hate this knife, I concede that it is well made at a fair price FOR WHAT IT IS, so to be fair, I won't knock the quality of the manufacture.

I’ve been keenly anticipating the arrival of this knife, and I’m thankful it came quickly enough—within a month. This is my first self-bought folding knife, and I could not be more satisfied. It came well oiled, thinly, not excessive, and sharp enough to shave the baby hairs on my hand if that’s any measure. One of the things I enjoy most about the knife is flipping it open. It does so slickly with a light push to the flipper and flick of the wrist, as the blade is hefty in proportion. That said, I like the weight of the blade, it is no thin or small blade, and in fact when I unboxed it I found it to be bigger than I expected. It is as you should expect I suppose as it’s a sheepsfoot blade and not pointed, it has undoubtedly more material. So if you’re looking for smth light for EDC, I might not suggest this, but if you like weightiness and it’s aesthetically unique form factor, it is a serious beauty. As someone else pointed out before me, the detent is quite shallow and easy to pop open. It has a light magnetic feel to the snap, which I find really cool, but just smth to note if you’re particular about the tightness of the lock for safety and daily carry. Otherwise, I am absolutely pleased with this artisan piece, and none of the above bother me personally to give it anything less than 5.

Beautiful and functional
Great knife. I carry it always for work (trucker) and I use it in the kitchen for prep work. Stays sharp. Sturdy workmanship.

It was a bit bigger than what I was expecting, however the build feels amazing.

Really fun blade to handle; makes mundane box cutting fun. I think that's pretty clearly what it's marketed for, so you certainly get what I assume most people are expecting. Only reason it's not 5 stars: The liner lock, however, was really quite shallow, and was easily pushed aside with fairly minor pressure to the back of the blade (please excuse my lack of knowledge of the accurate terminology). Given how heavy the blade itself is - if the liner lock were pushed aside, which was fairly simple to do - the blade would be rather likely to smack downward in the most undesirable way. So I'd just suggest checking the clearance of the liner lock before getting too confident with the sturdiness of the lock.
