So how good is this deal? Never played Ascension, but it seems like something I would love to have to play with friends at get togethers.

sumphatguyLooks like these sets are going for about $27-$29 on Amazon, so 3 sets with free Amazon Prime shipping would be about $85. So even with $12.50 Massdrop shipping, this deal at ~$63 looks pretty good.
I would recommend that you try before you buy. It is a "trade row" based deck builder, with a fairly high amount of "luck of the draw" in terms of what is available for you to acquire / defeat on your turn vs. what your opponent(s) can get. However, if you are ok with that, it does provide fun and interesting "combo"-building mechanics.
I think you can get the iOS or Android app and try the original first set for free (or very low cost). The app will also do all of your shuffling for you! :-)
