Am I allowed to claim "first" here? ^_^ Decided to order one of these because I already own one in Horween #8 Shell Cordovan (see photo) and it has been an amazing wallet! Looking forward to owning a second one...

SativaDroThe shell cordovan one is not very thick at all... Guessing, since I'm not at home with a ruler, around 1/2 with 8+ cards and cash.

SativaDroThe design of the wallet prevents it from bulging when filled. My Chromexcel TtA is only very slightly thicker (about 3/8-1/2 of an inch) when full than when empty. However, if you're partial to a Constanza wallet (stuffed to the gills) you should consider the "Fat Herbie" from Ashland.

StephenHWouldn't Fat Herbie be thinner since it spreads out the thickness of the cards as compared to TtA which stacks all the cards on top of each other?

StephenHI don't have a whole lot as I just cleaned out my wallet. ~20 bills, 8 cards and insurance docs. My current trifold with the above items is about 1" thick, just wanted to see how these compared.
In all honesty right now I'm split between this and Johnny the Fox. I prefer the design of the Johnny the Fox better but I don't know when or if MD will be bringing it back. I wasn't a fan of the black/blue combo that was available recently. I like the smaller footprint of this and Johnny the Fox compared to the Fat Herbie wallet.

Darren90The Fat Herbie IS thinner when stuffed with cards than the TtA, though it's significantly larger in its other dimensions. So while the TtA can be carried in a front pocket (though there are better alternatives) the Fat Herbie is a rear pocket only wallet. One point to keep in mind is that unlike a traditional bifold the TtA (and the Fat Herbie) do not create the sort of V-shaped bulge in the middle of the wallet caused by the overlap of cards in multiple pockets.

SativaDroI have the Johnny the Fox as well as the TtA. The advantage of a traditional bi-fold like the JtF is better visibility of cards in the six pockets compared to the four slots in the TtA. The disadvantage is that the cards overlap in such a way that the card(s) in the lowest slot on each side of the fold are resting on the cards underneath in the two other slots. This tends to produce a bulge in the middle of the wallet and what's sometimes called the "V"shape of traditional bi-folds when closed.
