Anyone have experience w/ Dublin vs Chromexcel? I've done some reading on mitchell leather (http://www.mitchell-leather.com/Horween_Leather_Options.html) but still would like to hear some first hand experience w/ the two materials for wallets.

SativaDroIt's up to personal preference. Black Dublin is a different critter than English Tan or Chestnut Dublin. The English Tan and Chestnut scratch easily and show wear quickly due to the pull-up but can be buffed out. The black, in my experience, is more matte and won't show scratches as much. Dublin is Veg-Tanned, Chromexcel is Combination Tanned (Veg and Chrome). Dublin is fat liquored in the same stuff as shell.
For more info on Horween's various tannages, check out their site: http://horween.com/leathers/full-tannage-list/
