The Second Generation
The successor to Astell&Kern’s popular AK100, the AK100 II features a Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC chip and a dedicated amplifier that outputs 2 volts in balanced mode and 1.7 volts in unbalanced mode. This portable player supports virtually all file formats up to 192 kHz, as well as DSD playback up to 5.6 MHz. It's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth equipped, allowing for OTA updates and online Tidal streaming. Along with delivering great sound on the go, the AK100 II can be used as a standalone DAC with your PC or Mac.
Intuitive Display, Long Life
The durable aluminum body features an AMOLED touchscreen with simple, intuitive navigation to access your favorite artists, albums, and songs—plus a stepped-attenuator volume control knob that covers a precise 0.5 dB per step. The AK100 II has 64 gigs of built-in memory, and an additional 512 gigs of external memory via a microSD. With up to 8 hours of battery life between charges, it’s the perfect companion for long flights, daily commutes, and listening sessions wherever you want them.
