No warranty on a 500 dollar headphone means I'm out.

blahblahblahblahblahblahmaybe they think $500 is nothing nowadays, I think they need to rethink things, a $500 headphones must have a warranty of at least 5 years. I remember my denon ah-d5000 had a 5 years warranty, paid $799. It lasted me more than 10 years without a problem. The best protest we can do is --> do not buy it.

MetroidIf you are in the US that wasn't a manufacturers warranty. Denon US offers a 1 year warranty on all AH line headphones. Actually I don't know of any headphone manufacturer that goes beyond 3 years so this 5 year thing has little to no precedent. My Emotiva amps came with 5 year warranties, Bryston does 20. Beyond that 3 is pretty standard for upmarket gear with 1 being the norm for most audio devices of decent build. Sources: Old posting on B&H, Crutchfield and Denon's own Warranty page.
