I feel the need to ask- what kind of batteries is everyone else using? Per my previous post, I chose the Keeppower 14500 800mAh. Unfortunately, my batteries don't fit into the light I received. Has anyone else experienced issues with fitting their battery of choice? According to the battery comparator I referenced in my previous comment, the batteries I chose are .4mm wider than the smallest 14500 that HKJ tested in his reviews. I'm not a machinist or engineer, but it seems that the inner barrel of the battery tube should have greater variance than mine has so as to account for these minute differences in diameter between the battery brands. I've contacted MD support to see if they can help me, but has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

theretroshaveThis light works best with unprotected high drain battery such as AW IMR, Efest IMR, Xtar IMR, Nitecore IMR, etc. I believed your Keeppower is protected 14500 and the extra width could be due to thicker sleeving or the metal strip needed to connect the protection circuit inside the battery.
I have no problem fitting all the IMR batteries I mentioned above inside my light
