LOL $570 for a 1080p TN panel monitor... NO THANKS. I got a LG monitor with the same specs for $220.

It's very annoying that every drop has someone posting that they purchased the same thing from a different brand for half the price with the same specs. After people call you out you then respond saying it's not the same at all. Does your monitor also have G-Sync, or is that another thing that's also different?

He's not full of shit. It gets tiring to see in every drop 'I got the same thing for half price! This is bullshit' and the manufacturer isn't the same, the build quality isn't the same and the specs... Wait for it.... Aren't the same. Go somewhere else.

Great drop, just wish the price was a bit lower. With tax it ends up higher than B&H.

I don't understand why from all the rog swift monitors massdrop picked the one targeted only at competitive players. The price of this one is high only cuz it reaches 240hz something vital to super competitive players but not at all to 99% of gamers. I will be waiting for other Gsync monitors to come along here since I am not a competitive player and then i will purchase it for sure.
for everyone else that is, Linus tech compared playing FPS on it to getting an SSD drive and then having it yanked out. a difference u forget u have till u lose it.

Where's my 27" 144Hz 1440p GSync IPS panel? I'm joining that the first second it drops.
Even better if it's Ultrawide.

Nobody should ever even consider paying this much for a TN panel.

BrainFlushAfter confirming various reports from my sources at Computex 2017...I've discovered that I now possess the power of a modern technologically psychic savant, a seer if you will. This new uncanny ability to predict the future has blessed me with the ultimate information: my wallet is about to be SO empty that it will be the very first natural formation of a black hole that did not require a massive star to collapse in on itself. As soon as the physicists get ahold of me a new theory on all anti-matter will emerge: The amount of emptiness in the cosmic radiation background is actually due to civilizations of pc gamers collapsing.
Most of the brightest superclusters, yeah those are just n00bs with fxxxkin' potato-ass pc's.
(I clearly need work, "starving-artist" is a career field that has obviously only worked for all the greatests. Who're dead...)

Better colors, better blacks, better viewing angles. there just a lot better, tend to be less responsive and have less maximum hertz though.

Felix1942For those of us who are not die hard FPS gamers, the pros of an IPS display far outweigh the cons. I would love it if I had a gsync monitor, even if it was locked at 60hz. (Though I still hope Massdrop can do better than that.)

I have the Acer predator xb271hu 1440p 165hz monitor. Is this worth buys to replace that? I play fps games exclusively...

LogicalMotionOff-topic, but how are you liking your Predator? I'm about to pull the trigger on my first build and decided on the xb271hu.

LogicalMotionKeep the predator. With a 27" 1440p screen you can see smaller targets, like someone sniping in the distance. Plus 165hz to 240hz isn't enough of a jump to make the loss of size and detail worth it. If you were on a 60hz panel, THEN the size and resolution loss would be worth it. At 165hz though, you're slightly above the current sweet spot for gaming monitors.
