Hardly seems worth it versus Brainwavz pads.

I currently have the Brainwavs velour on my headphones. They are very comfortable thanks to the memory foam and huge amount of space inside the earcup, but since the driver is a lot further away from the ear the sound is changed a lot - they have very little bass with these and the whole signature is changed to sound less pleasant in my opinion.
I would get these instead, but it depends on if you value comfort over sound quality.

Are you using ATH-M50x? They have plenty of bass. I doubt a small change in distance to ear would effect their bass. Nonetheless thanks for the information.

Change in distance is very little, though I have pleather pads instead velour. The bigger earpad opening brings needed improvements to the sound, bass remains the same in quantity. Some guys have told me that the velours are no different. A loss of bass is probably due to an improper seal.
