When the promo text begins, " Since 1888, Atlantic has been producing timepieces that give Swiss watchmaking its storied reputation", it's disappointing to see a commodity outside Quartz movement used. Nothing wrong with the Ronda quartz, but it has nothing to do with the mechanical movements that Swiss watchmaking is about, and nothing about a quartz yells "140 years of history!"

It's a nice looking watch. I just wish it weren't quite as big. It's a little large for a "business" watch, but that's really more a matter of my taste for medium and moderate sized watches of this type. I think that this would work very nicely as a great everyday watch, and at a pretty great price.
Solid quartz performance with relatively conservative good looks. That name, though, really is great. I've got a couple more days to think about it.

But you're right. The case size is 42mm, not small at all, but that seems to be a diameter that makes many of the "sizests" among us happy. But it's the lug-to-lug measurement of 48mm that really makes this thing big--it could come close to hanging over the edges of the wrists of many folks out there.
I like the look and the name—"Super de Luxe," it doesn't get better than that—and I'd love just such a watch for a daily, go-to that also features a great, dependable and accurate Ronda quartz drive. But this size ... mmm, no. Just a little too big for something that I might wish to wear with a suit in a business setting. I'd love this if it were 36mm. Just my two cents.

highbobit's a reasonable concern - this watch's face isn't particularly busy so having it at 42" gives the feeling of a lot of "empty space" as it were.
