If there isn't a reduction in price for the headphones then how are they able to essentially give away an expensive amplifier for free? Are they writing off the cost of the amp? Something isn't adding up. Nice drop btw and in no way a criticism of it.

We're given a dealer price to buy the product at, and are sometimes restricted for the price we can sell a product at.
In this case, we have to sell at $1699, or the MAP price Audeze demands. However, our dealer price gives us enough wiggle room to work with Gustard, which we also get dealer pricing at, to put the two products together and offer them to our members at a price that doesn't violate our agreement.

Danny_LiuHey Danny, thanks for the explanation. I think that anyone spending this kind of dough would want a "better" amp even if it costs more. Also, LCD buyers tend to be the types who want the best. Perhaps, a better pairing would be a Wooaudio amp as mentioned in a later post. (segway) Having said that, my W7 Fireflies I bought from you a while ago needs to be upgraded. How about a W5 LE drop?
