I guess ATH series is cheaper in my country, without balance, this ADX5000 brand new one here is only 1755 usd, and i found the used one as low as 1262 usd once, without balance offcourse, so basically the balance cable is like 350usd
Just update, found out that warranty policy kindda different here than in other country, that's why it's more cheaper, keep in that in mind though, only 1 year warranty here
Here in Japan these Headphones cost 2350 USD in internet discounted. So pretty good deal buying from here. The extra balanced cable and free shipping add even more value.
I fund this crazy too... Here in Japan not even second hand we can find it for 1300USD while in Australia 1300USD for a brand new pair with free delivery to your door. Sometime I do not understand markets... Australia generally is much more expensive overall..
HIFI778I wonder if it has to do with the fact that Audio Technica has tweaked the frequency to sound really good with female vocals (specifically Japanese female) so they know that they can charge a premium for it in their own market?
Still not fair at all seeing as I have seen them cheaper here shipped from Japan. :[
Regardless, I would like to see this drop go cheaper on here for us both :D
I guess it would be genius headphones for best-of-the best tube OTL SE (single-ended) amps which have no "balance" schematics\outputs by any means. That is why I consider this offer as nonsense.
Who needs a warranty? It's not every day that a steal like this comes along. With that one dollar saved you could buy a ...... Um, well it's a dollar saved! MD has been losing touch with reality slowly over time but it looks like they've kicked things into high gear and have completed lost their minds. The same "executives" making these great decisions which are going to be the reason they file for Chapter 11 will be the ones looking for retention bonuses in order "lead the company out of bankruptcy" so at least we know what their motivation is for such stupid offers.
Yeah, the "deal" that just removes the price hike that they recently added and then reduced them what twenty bucks...no doubt they think the orders will just start rolling in. Too bad a single product that may include $100 margin at most isn't enough to keep any company afloat.
