Here in Japan these Headphones cost 2350 USD in internet discounted. So pretty good deal buying from here. The extra balanced cable and free shipping add even more value.

HIFI778That's right. Including the optional cable, the package is sold almost US $3000! in here only with the manufacturer's 1 year warranty. The headphones are getting very good reputation and the stock is running short all the time in the Japanese market. I wish to buy from Drop if I had enough money.

Sounds like a different version of the Focal making Elex in France and not allowing EU to buy.

Muscle_CowI fund this crazy too... Here in Japan not even second hand we can find it for 1300USD while in Australia 1300USD for a brand new pair with free delivery to your door. Sometime I do not understand markets... Australia generally is much more expensive overall..

HIFI778I wonder if it has to do with the fact that Audio Technica has tweaked the frequency to sound really good with female vocals (specifically Japanese female) so they know that they can charge a premium for it in their own market?
Still not fair at all seeing as I have seen them cheaper here shipped from Japan. :[
Regardless, I would like to see this drop go cheaper on here for us both :D
