'cause! I'm sure there are people who who will want this and won't bat an eye at the price but I doubt their likes would ever visit this site, they'd have much better things to do...

Sounds very exotic, it has a motor or something that holds the coils over the stylus.

No, nothing that exotic. The coils are attached directly above the stylus, instead of the usual location at the far end of the cantilever. This can be seen in one of the photos. This isn't really a new idea; Decca did something similar over 60 years ago, although that was a moving-iron cartridge, not a moving-coil.
