No, nothing that exotic. The coils are attached directly above the stylus, instead of the usual location at the far end of the cantilever. This can be seen in one of the photos.
This isn't really a new idea; Decca did something similar over 60 years ago, although that was a moving-iron cartridge, not a moving-coil.
