jiangzhenjerryWhat I mean is - The drivers themselves are not very expensive at all - I appreciate the work to redesign the case to fit in 2 more + the tuning etc but JUST for 2 more drivers to pay for twice the price of the original + an extra $50 is a LOT of $ The drivers are not made of gold!! If it was $100 more for the 4 driver iteration that would seem reasonable to me and i wouldn't have even noticed. Anyhoo, I was just asking if I had read it right is all!

lexsI assume you understand that building earphones is more than designing a case + putting drivers inside + gluing everything and "ta-da!". You can find way more expensive earphones with fewer drivers, as well as cheaper earphones with more drivers. :)

jiangzhenjerry:D Yes, of course. I researched a while back how they tune the armature drivers themselves and the degree to which even the tiniest positioning inside the shells can make a huge difference I do take your points but lets just say i think there can be a 'healthy' profit on some ;)

lexsI agree with you on that. I wouldn't say the price is extreme and totally prohibiting, but at this price range these phones do have a lot of decent competitors ;)

lexsSeems like a scam. Massdrop x Zeus XIV is 'only' $71/BA and Massdrop x Noble K10UA is 'only' $90/BA.. :D
