Sound Design
Built with 53 mm dynamic drivers, the ATH-PRO500 Mk2 places most of its emphasis on the low end, resulting in tight and powerful bass. Rounding out the rest of the range, the mids are subdued yet present, the highs are clear and extended, and the overall soundstage brings decent width and more than enough depth.
Construction
To make transportation as easy as possible, the headphones fold up compactly and fit snugly in the included carrying pouch. Once they’re on your head, the swiveling earpieces and pleather headband keep you as comfy as can be. Finally, you have your choice of either a coiled or straight cable, and both can be extended from about 4’ to just under 10’.
