w1000z - great pair with burson soloist sl mk2. i've got ether flow, he-6 and a lot of other hf and w1000z sounds really amazing. big space, fantastic timbre, deep bass very good controled, sparkle highs but not sharp, full bodied mids. light and comfortable.

for the price this headphones are killers.

orandooAfter listening to it for a while, ‘the sound is really bad’ and the high pitch is harsh and the ‘insufficient low frequency’ I will not buy products from the same factory again!

The W5000 are beautiful and unique, with three notable flaws. The attached cable is frustrating and needs replacing. The pads are thin for the shape of the cups, making comfort hard to achieve. Finally, the headband is oddly shaped, requiring bending to fit most people's heads effectively. However, with all that said, they are still worth the cost of entry, as their sound signature is intense, dramatic and utterly unique. I've enjoyed my time with them greatly, and with the aforementioned alterations in place, these will have a home in my collection for a long time to come.

BYRONVIYour pictures show what looks like to be a detachable cable yet the specs and mfg pics show permanently attached cable. Have yours been modded?

565HunterYes indeed. I cut the cable and soldered in mono 3.5mm on both sides. I terminated a Smokey Litz cable from the Campfire Andromedas to match and run it 4.4mm balanced.
