I wish Audio-Technica would go back to using red cherry wood. These look good, but to me they don't come close to matching the W1000 (not W1000X or W1000Z) and W2002, which are still what I consider to be the most beautiful headphones I've ever seen. It's one of the reasons that I can't help but love my W1000s despite the acoustics being objectively ill-suited to a fairly wide range of music (the bass is just noticeably weak compared to almost any other headphone, even for someone like me who is as far from being a basshead as can be).
And now I really want to track down a pair of W2002s...
