Don’t let the small size fool you; just like David before them, the Audioengine A2+ Powered Speakers pack a serious wallop for their minimal measurements. Equipped with 2.75” Kevlar woofers, 3/4” silk dome tweeters, a built-in USB DAC, and a peak output of 30 W per channel, the A2+ speaker system brings top quality and advanced features to your table.
Note: At check-out, you have your choice of color between Glossy White and Matte Black. For $21 more, a DS1 Speaker Stand is available as an add-on.
Detailed Design
To take advantage of the full potential of those internal components, Audioengine uses clever acoustic, cabinet, and electrical design, as well as some tuned front port slots. If the bass doesn’t pump quite loud or deep enough for you out of the box, you can easily connect an external, self-powered subwoofer via the RCA output.
Sibling Rivalry
The younger, hipper brother of the original A2, the A2+ includes the aforementioned USB DAC and subwoofer output, as well as upgraded speaker connectors, power supply, and accessory cables. Covered in 18 mm thick MDF cabinets for upgraded internal sound dampening, the Audioengine A2+ Powered Speakers stand apart from the competition for their exquisite design and impeccable audio.
