MY TV only has one type of audio output: bare speaker wire. Is there any way to hook up these speakers?

markwei@markwei A2's have such input, so do A5+'s as it seems

GreywindAre you referring to the 2 round ports that are extruding out near the middle? I thought those were the output connections from the left speaker (with the amp) to the right speaker?
markweiHi Markwei,
That's a really interesting TV, I've never seen one with straight cable outputs like that. Anyway, looks like it's setup to work with passive speakers.
The A5+ works by taking an audio signal in through it's RCA ports, amplifying it through internal electronics, and sending the right channel out to the right speaker via those two speaker wire ports on the back. In short, those ports are output, not input, and I don't think the A5+ will work with your TV without some kind of converter (speaker wire to RCA?) in between.
Thanks for the question and hopefully that helps!

markweiNo. Well, you could hook up the right-hand speaker to this, but that would be silly. You're better off salvaging some center channel spkr from somewhere, or buying a new TV

WillSome 90s vintage TVs in fact do have speaker-level outputs like that, for use with speakers that came with the TV itself. We had one like that until a couple years ago.
