Just a tip for those who use a Mac and would like to control this DAC's volume using keyboard function keys:
1. Download Soundflower from cycling74.com. It's a simple menubar app that reroutes your audio output.
2. Open your audio system preferences (Option+any volume key). Select Soundflower (2 ch) as your output.
3. Launch /Applications/Soundflower/Soundflowerbed.app. It's going to put an icon in your menubar. Click it, and right under Soundflower (2 ch) click "AudioEngine D1".

And that's it. Volume buttons on your keyboard now work. You may also want to manually add Soundflowerbed to your login items manually since there's no option to do it automatically. System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Login Items -> "+" button -> select /Applications/Soundflower/Soundflowerbed.app.
