Does the front volume knob also control the output to the RCA ports? I've tried to find information on this online, and have found people saying that it does and that it doesn't. Which is true? I ask because the volume knob on my speakers (A2) is on the back, and I can't easily change the OS volume while playing games, so I've been looking for an alternative way to change the volume (in addition to a DAC).

CharlesThis is from the Audioengine Website, under the FAQ section for the D1.<br /><br />'Are the RCA connections on the rear of the D1 fixed or variable? These RCA outputs are variable, adjusting the volume on the D1 will adjust the output of any speakers or amp connected to this output. This makes the D1 a handy way to control the volume of both your speakers AND headphones.'<br /><br />So it looks like yes, which is nice to know.

CharlesI have the A2 and use it with the D1. The volume knob on the DAC does affect the volume of the RCA output. I have mine plugged into my macbook air --> D1 --> A2/Sub.
