As mentioned, NOT “wireless”, just Bluetooth. When it comes to speakers, those two terms are not interchangeable and DON’T mean the same thing. Have one on me ;- )

What's the warranty on these? It would be great to hear from Drop on this!

This is actually a good deal, in spite of some complaining. You can't find these for less right now. I think the cherry looks nice, reviewers have said it looks great in this finish, I'm in!

To those not excited by the color options (or lack there of), one solution is to Wrap them. See videos on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=speaker+wrap+vinyl

Are we supposed to expect to receive the cherrywood finish version since that is what is in the pictures and there is no way to choose when buying?

Yep, that's why they're 150 bucks off. You can get any color you like for $700 at their website. I got black, to match my other components but it doesn't affect the sound. Heck I'm considering getting another set at this price ;-)

Every old comment from previous drop say these were $250 off. So for this drop, it is $100 more expensive than last time?

That's inflation, I guess ;-)

Still very worth it. I got them for about $499 a year ago. Am considering picking up another pair at this price. It's still $150 saved on great speakers.

Remember, these (like most) “wireless” speakers must be connected to each other by wire! In other words where you place them, and how far apart you want them from each other, is limited. Spend a few bucks more and buy a set of Edifier S3000 Pros; they require NO wired interconnection, just power cords: https://www.edifier.com/us/en/speakers/s3000pro

Does anyone know how noticeable the difference is between as5+ and hd6?

Absolutely the HD6 blows the A5+ out of the water. I started with the A5+, as the HD6 were out of stock at the time. I liked the sound of the A5+ so much I wanted to hear their flagship. I bought them as soon as they were back in stock in April '19. Been listening ever since with zero problems. Paired them with a Klipsch R-100SW sub and SANUS stands and completely fills any room. Much better sound stage, class A/B amp, gapless transformers, custom drivers, the HD6 has many improvements over the A5+: larger 5.5 woofers, improved crossover, die cast aluminum baskets for the aramid/kevlar weave woofers, 1" silk dome tweeters, thicker 18mm MDF cabinets, and grill covers, which are not offered in the A5+. The HD6 is the last set of speakers I'll ever need. You can find out more here: https://audioengineusa.com/product_tech_specs/hd6-wireless-speakers/

When’s the next drop and how many units are usually in a drop? I see that there have been 2 drops and the last sold through at a cumulative total of 51 units

When a new drop happens is dependent on drop itself. They tend to do it based on how many request a drop for it. I'm curious to as I'm in the market for a pair of bookshelf speakers to use for a PC setup and these would work well. Though I did see a set of Klipsch R51PMs online that look good as well. May end up going for those if I don't see any traction with a potential drop on this by next year.

Not sure what the fuss is all about. I've got a set of P4's in Bamboo, look and sound fabulous. Ditto for my HDP6'S in Walnut. Liked them both so much that when I was looking for a powered set, I picked up a pair of HD3's(in Walnut)for my desk and have not been disappointed at all. Can vouch for the internal switching between sources. It works perfectly. I've seen Cherry finish and it looks just as nice as the Walnut and Bamboo. Not sure I need another set of speakers, but I may not be able to resist them at this price!

Not that I'm aware of. I use them as near field monitors with my Alienware laptop. I find them to be damn near perfect. I swear, when in use, it's like they disappear. I've been wanting to get a dedicated subwoofer, and after trying one of my home theater subs, it's going to happen. The HT sub was just too large for my mobile cart. But now that I know if makes a big difference I'm going to get one.
