Excellent sound and value!
I bought this replace a previous portable DAC that the smoke leaked out of the control chip 😅.
I’m using it with iPhone/iPad for Apple Music stream, direct connect to AUX in on a Rotel amp, then to Bose 901 speakers with a Sub-woofer. Great with headphones too! So far, only had up to 24bit/192 kHz feed however, I’m hearing echoes in the grand piano, hi-hat & ride cymbals, strings, separation in vocal harmonies that I haven’t heard before. For iOS, really like the direct to lighting plug rather than another cable to mess with. Also like the LED showing resolution range! #recommended

Wonderful DAC
Doesn't provide a lot of power, can run my V Modas of it it but that is about it. Not the reason i bought it though, want something to connect my Pixel to my amps that wasn't bulky (have an onyx and hud100). Best sounding DAC i own, including my desktops. No noise and plenty of detail. Looks like other reviewers are having QC issues, I have had it for about 2 weeks with no problem.

Great little amp so far
Just received the amp, and it works great so far, I like the size, and it is very portable. So far I have only streamed 44.1k.1khz/16 bit streams, and 24 bit streams on apple music. Seems to reproduce them well and they can easily drive my HIFI man 400se, and my Focal Elegia. However I only have 1 day of use so I may update this one later. I will say that the amp is slightly thicker than my Iphone 12pro max in a case, in order for you to get an idea of the size of the thing, and unlike my fiio jade audio DAC, it is all in one piece.

Great Value
Let's be honest, this won't replace bigger DACs, but for sure will make your phone/computer sounds better and improve your listening experience. If you require more power or functionalities then probably you'd want to look in another direction. So far, this little DAC/Amp does its job and deliver.

Cheap build quality madness this wasted potential
A few hours after receiving my atom3, it started dropping the right and/or left channel when slightly touching it. The whole point of this adapter is for convince and takes makes an automatic failure for me.
As for the adapter minus this experience, I really love it. It doesn't provide as much power as my HiBy FC3, but it has way less distortion at higher volumes. The adaptive impedance makes it really nice when switching between headphones, I can switch from my 55 ohm k712s to my 600 ohms k240s with very little change to the volume.
Another issue I have is with the Type-C version, it just doesn't work with my iPad. It keeps having this popping and crackling noise. This issue doesn't happen on my MacBook Air, Pixel 7, or even my Switch. The little atom does get a little warm sometimes, but the poor connection is the biggest issue for me.

Disappointment
I was really excited for this convenient device unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. Of course I knew it was unlikely to perform as well as separate larger dac & amp combos. Worst issue is a constant buzz that doesn’t go away no matter the volume level. My other complaint is that it is not loud enough. The clarity is ok, but it has no oomph. I have a cheap lightning to headphone jack(from Monoprice if I recall correctly) that goes way louder with more clarity and no annoying buzz or hiss. The Atom 3 looks way more upscale yet does not perform well in my limited experience w/ it. To be fair I haven’t used it much but I did compare it w/ other gizmos I own. I much prefer my cheapo generic looking short dongle if I want to be on the move w/ wired headphones.

Needs better QC but otherwise splendid
There was an issue I had during the first week of owning this thing where looking at it kinda funny would cause it to disconnect for a millisecond and then reconnect although I haven’t had the issue much lately. Other than that, these compliment my Koss KSC75Xs perfectly.

This mini DAС worked well for one month and then the internal contact of the mini-jack began to be interrupted, one channel began to disappear. Looks like I won't be able to return or replace it. Too bad it's just trash.
