Mine just stopped working all of sudden today. Light still on under the tube but I can't tell if the tube failed or there's some other problem. I was listening and all of a sudden it just cut out. The computer still sees the device but no sound output at all. I tried changing the gain setting and nothing at the headphone out for any of them. I tried the headphones on the direct output and it's fine.

How can I tell if the tube failed? There's no discoloration on the silver coating on the top.

antonioyon@antonioyon

Try using the line in on the back of the T1. This will use just the amplifier section and should bypass the DAC. That will tell you which piece is having the issue. It could be the tube though they tend not to fail in that manner.
Failing tubes typically just sound bad, like distortion or poorly powered woofers. If the tube sounds like that but gets better after warming up it could mean that the tube is going bad.
