Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

The first drop took a long time, we got half the shipment in about 3 weeks, and then the next batch took another 3 weeks. It was a very stressful and aggrevating experience for everyone.
Aune has wanted to rerun this for a while now (since the first offer we ran was so successful) but we told them we won't run it until they have their inventory situations under control. As a goodwill gesture, they've sent us a bunch of units ahead of the drop (probably not enough to fulfill the entire order, but a sizable amount), and they promised they'll send the second batch to complete the order very shortly after the buy ends. So in terms of speed, I would be very surprised if it takes longer than 10 business days (2 weeks). Keep in mind, it's coming from China, so our control of the situation is limited.
In terms of QC, of the 180 units we shipped in the last buy, around 10 came back (that's about 5%). That's shockingly high, and we expressed concern about this to Aune as well. That being said, these are covered by Massdrop warranty, so if your unit arrives defective, just let us know and we'll get you a replacement unit and the defective one ships back to us for free.
One other problems with the first buy, some of the box were marked "Silver" and the unit inside was "Black". Some users asked us to "Open all the units before shipping them and check them". Unfortunately, we can't do this, otherwise it (technically) can't be classified as "brand new merchandise" anymore. We told Aune about this mixup and told them to correct it as well.
Lastly, a lot of users reported "I didn't get the TUBE.. WTFFFFFFFF" (in those exact words). Turns out that the tube is just cleverly hidden in the foam, and some users have posted pictures showing where the "hidden tube" is in the styrofoam. The follow up post was usually "Sorry I'm an idiot..." (in those exact words)
I think that's a reasonable summary of the drop-related discussion over the past 500 posts.
TLDR; buy it, it will ship pretty quickly, and chances are you'll be happy. If it's borked we'll replace it. Stick your finger in the hole to find the tube.
