Should I expect taxes to be payed when receiving this item? I live in Hungary (EU) and here I have to pay taxes if an item I bought from a webshop costs more than 40 euros. What is the experience of other European buyers?

ManielloI participated in the last drop. It was shipped on the 20th of December 2013. It just came today with the mail. But I already got my money back from Massdrop because it just took way too long. I refused the package. I bought another one from eBay and it was sent to me from the UK with DPD, so no customs which was really great! It only took 3 days for the package to get to Germany.

ManielloYes, you should. It comes from the US. I guess you can check it on the customs homepage of your country. For me it would be about 20€.

mldkhnFor me if the value is under 150€, I don't have to pay customs, but I have to pay 27% sales tax (yepp, thats how much we have here as sales tax in Hungary) so I guess it won't be as terrible as I expected it to be

ManielloWow, 27% is tough. I only have to pay 20% VAT in Bulgaria (with the shipping also being taxed), and I believe about 2% (at least it was 2% on the HD650) in other taxes.

fragamemnonI'm not sure if shipping will get taxed but I don't think it will. But I agree, 27% is still a lot
