Mine has also arrived, for some reason I didnt have to pay any taxes - Im really glad for that. The cable which came with it is obviously made for European voltage but it has a USA plug. I have an adapater (my MacBook's chord is also from the US). I can just use it with the DAC, right?
Also I am planning to upgrade my headphones in the upcoming 1-2 weeks. I can't decide whether I should go with a pair of Sennheiser Momentum's (over-the ear) or a pair of Sennheiser HD 598/600 (havent decided which one yet). 95% of the timeI I listen to music outdoors from my iPod (mostly in .alac format) and I currently own a pair of Sol Republic Track HD's which sound decent with the iPod. Of course I want to upgrade them at some point (hopefully sooner than later) but I feel like first I should get a pair of high-end headphones so I can use all the potential my DAC offers.
So my question is this: would there be any noticeable differences between the sound quality of a pair of Momentums or a pair of let's say HD 598's when connected to the Aune T1. Because if there is, my priority would be to get a pair of high-ends and wait with upgrading my outdoor headphones. But if there isn't a whole lot of difference, then I would get the Momentums first, so I can enhance my music experience both in and outdoors and get the Sennheiser HD's later, when I have a couple of hundred bucks lying around.
Please help me out guys with your experience!
Wow... someone in Hungary got their shipment before I did. Thanks a lot Canada Post...
It's a chinese plug. I got the same on my Aune T1. But the seller was nice enough to give me an adapter for it.
Well it works with my USA-EU adapter, so I guess my problem is solved
Did you check your tracking number to see if it's being held at Canada Customs? They didn't release mine until I called to confirm the price was $145, they held it for miss-declaration of value as most of the Aune T1's they found for sale were $300! Once I called they released it and I received it two days later.
Mine is released now but the incompetence at Canada Post continues.... it went from Mississauga to Scarborough... I'm in Kitchener. Epic fail.
I once had a package go from Mississauga to Quebec, and I'm in Whitby, so I feel your pain :) Hopefully you receive it soon and undamaged as well (with all that extra traveling). Inspect the box carefully before signing for it and if any corners are dented, etc., make the driver mark "damaged" on the receipt.
