All vacuum tubes that I'm aware of produce some sort of orange glow due to the filament being heated much like an incandescent light bulb.
The T1 has a white LED that underlights the tube after the amp has been on for 30s. This time is used to make sure the tube is properly heated and is also the amplifier's warm up time.

Indeed the LED is more prominent and you either like it or you don't. I wish I could turn it off as I'm fond of the soft glow from the tubes. Being able to change the LED color and intensity would be great but alas, that would raise the price.
