Hi if anyone can help please. I'm new to DACs and amps, I have sennheiser amperior headphones, it's low ohms and doesn't need an amp so will this be ok with my headphones or will it not be worth it? Amperiors are only 18ohms -
Also looking at buying microlab solo 6c speakers would this be ok? Thirdly, if there is no tube does it work?
Oh and does it have an aus powerpoint plug?

Hello @sxsf0u, I've used my Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros (16ohms) with this amp and it was a noticeable difference in sound for me (vs. straight in an iPhone, etc.). I'm using this DAC now with a pair of DT770's @ 250ohm and the sound is amazing. I highly recommend this DAC. I'm no audiophile but this delivers everything you need and then some under $200 with the ability to tube roll once you're ready (I for one ain't ready, love the Gold Lion included with mine in the last drop). Hope this helps!

Thanks buddy, sounds good and will wait for any other opinions before the 2 days finish. Also been reading forums though they say it's best for headphones with 80+ohms from the amp specs, and will have difficulty anything under 80? Since amperiors are reallyyyy low hmm.

I believe they are not to be used for headphones with really low impedance (anything lower than 30 ohms). I tried using my SoundMagic HP200, which has an impedance of 20 ohms, and the mk2 were too strong for them.

Make sure the gain switches on the bottom of the unit are set to the lowest settings. But yeah, this thing drives my 250ohm cans very loudly on the +10dB gain setting.
