Cause its way overpriced is why. Nothing really changed cept new DAC that supports 192khz and DSD other than that basically the same thing cept list price $100 more. No one on headfi has one can't even find thoughts or review on it anywhere I trust.

No one has one on head-fi? At least the previous models have a 530+ page thread on Head-fi: http://www.head-fi.org/t/633006/aune-t1-usb-tube-dac-ss-amp-discussion-thread-see-first-post-for-faq-updated-on-02-14-15

Yea I know I"ve posted in that thread dozens of times. But I don't see a single person with this new version. And at nearly $300 we won't. If this has reached cheapest price I probably would've bought one. But it didn't even come close.

I was also pretty curious in this amp, but not "$230 without any impressions" curious. Knowing massdrop, they'll probably try to sell these again in a month or so. Maybe by then, there will be some more info out there.

Well I've had the other two first one I gave to friend as a gift, she loves music, the other I still use myself. It's a fine product but I just don't believe $300 for this so called updated/graded product is in the $300 price range that's insane. The other I paid like $130 on here for one of them. Other I bought used on headfi. I really want 192khz playback but look how they marketed the mk2, its still listed on amazon as able to play 192khz and it DOES NOT. It makes me wonder if this one really does or not. I'll never buy it until i Know or the price comes down a LOT.

Indeed, I have a mk2 which I bought for its claimed support of DSD and 192khz. I opened it. The verdict is straight forward: it contains a Burr-Brown PCM1793, not the advertised BB DSD1793 Aune Audio claims it should have.

I've tried complaining via sales@auneaudio.com... All my attempts bounced back undelivered with a status "550 IP frequency limited" ... Regardless of which mail server I send this from.
I could do with a working contact if anyone has one.
Why did they mess up like this ?

I called this number after i bought mine in China and had some questions: +86-27-85420526.
I've forgotten the name and contact info of the designated contact person for foreigners because the young lady I spoke with did a fine job and spoke English well enough herself.
The QQ number is 1518386037
and the email address is zhangli@auneaudio.com
come to think of it, the gal I spoke with is Sally Chen and her email address is sallychen@auneaudio.com
She was quite helpful.

Amazing, thank you for this. It is the mail server at auneaudio.com that seems to have a problem the mails still bounce back. "zhangli" is a valid mailbox and known to their system. "sallychen" is unknown, she may have left... Anyhow, I'll try to call them when the sun is back in China :)
