Noise-Free Headphone Tube Amp
New from Serbia’s Auris Audio, the HA2 SE tube amplifier has already turned heads at the High-End Audio Show in both Munich and Hong Kong. It can be the centerpiece of an end-game personal audio solution, and is ideally paired with a quality DAC and headphones. Featuring five tubes and a single-ended triode amplifier configuration, it has three RCA analog inputs and a 6.3-millimeter phono jack. You can use the rotary switch to adjust the output impedance between 50, 150, 300, and 600 ohms, depending on the headphones you’re listening to. Of the HA2 SE, Headfonia says, “It sounds balanced and and transparent with great clarity and precision...The first thing you hear is absolutely nothing. Silence. No tube noises, no noisy background.
