You are hung up on the price and so what? that's what it costs and certainly the reason it's not "flying off the shelves". I happen to be looking for something with precisely these specs and the range is the biggest deal and I know there are cheaper ones with range but they don't review well. the range does not seem to matter to you as I notice you keep leaving that out. anyway, it would seem that you just want to be 'right', but you're not.
