Well, another drop with perfect timing, as I just watched Nick Shabazz’s review of this “interesting little flashlight right here”. Ha. I respect his opinion and value his analysis of knives, despite sometimes disagreeing with him. So the same goes for flashlights. So I’m already considering this, but before I do, anybody have any experience with these that wouldn’t mind maybe “shedding a little light” on it? See what I did there...? Wink wink, nudge nudge. Ha. Also, I’m not a big flashlight guy, so what’s really the difference between the two models in layman’s terms? Advantages/disadvantages of each? Any help and feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

MCH_87A great little light, my EDC. I usually carry a light with a "Twist" head so they don't go off in my pocket, so I was a bit concerned with this one. So far, after about 6 months of carry, I've had very few incidents of the light turning on by mistake - so I'm very pleased. For size/weight/light output, this light is my favorite.

BoxofweaselsOk thanks. Shabazz seemed to really like it too, and if you’re at all familiar with his reviews, he doesn’t seem to pulls his punches. Basically if something is crap, he’ll say it’s crap. Ha. Do you know which model yours is and/or can you speak to how useful the other lights actually are? The one with the UV light seems semi-practical but kinda cool nonetheless. But I’m not sure I get what the actual practical applications would be for the other ones ie the red, blue, etc. Any thoughts...?

MCH_87I have the A5, no UV but I'm not sure what I would use that for anyway. I just use it for a basic flashlight and don't use the leds' in the handle for anything (other than to show off the features of the light to people that are interested).

MCH_87I have one, and I keep it on my keychain. It's quiet surprising the power that this little guy has. I've only had it about 2 or 3 months, but I like it a lot. The only complaint I have is that my buddy was playing with my keys and didn't know what it was. He couldn't get it to turn on (I didn't know he was trying to turn it on), so he held down the power button. First, let me explain that it was late at night and we were outside in the dark. He was only about 3 feet away from me when he held down the power button and happened to be aiming directly at my eyes. That 350 lumens is very accurate! I was still seeing spots 30 minutes later. Edit: Terible gramar an speling.

Just curious, what do you use the UV light for?
BobrazChecking to see if large bills are counterfeit, finding scorpions in the desert, checking the horrifying state of a hotel room...

ClockworkOrangutanHmmmm I'm not sure I go looking for scorpions in the desert often. Do you? Plus I stick to Hilton as for hotels 😂
BobrazHa. Mostly, I’m looking out for scorpions while camping in the desert. Hoping not to see them. Just don’t want to cozy up with one in my tent. Their exoskeletons glow under uv light. You definitely want to see the small ones. And hey...don’t be so sure about those Hilton Hotel rooms. I’ve stayed in $500/night hotel rooms that still look like a crime scene after you turn on a black light. Honestly, I wish I never checked. Ignorance is bliss.

BobrazYou can super charge glow in the dark things with it. You can see dirt, chemicals, and human fluids on cloth, carpet, and beds - nice to precheck hotel rooms upon check in. You can see UV watermarks - some documents, ID cards, and paper currency have these. You can activate UV reactive lenses in glasses.

bass7lbI'm not sure I'm eager to see human fluids! Sometimes ignorance is bliss! That being said I stay mostly at Hilton (I travel for work) so at least they have a higher standard.
