Then why the fuck would it not work on electric, diesel, or natural gas vehicles? OBD-II is identical across ALL vehicles, with some manufacturers opting to add in additional codes. Plug in the same code scanner unit on a petrol Golf and a diesel Golf and it will work flawlessly both times. The manufacturer of this unit would have had to specifically and deliberately disable the functionality to work on non-gasoline powered vehicles, which to me seems like a very shitty thing to do.
