I got one of these from their site. You *can* use it with an Android device. Just know that if you have an Android device, the app is still very much in beta, which you have to register for on their site, join a Google group, and download the beta app through the Play Store once you're in the group. It does the bare essentials -- track your driving habits, let you know when you accelerate too quickly, brake too hard, or drive over 70mph. They're building more features into it, but the iOS app definitely takes precedence over the Android one. Can confirm it works fine with my HTC One, though.
