The problem I have with all these fancy water bottle is the over designed cap/lid/spout. While most are uber cool looking, it's still poorly designed for clean up. With all the unnecessary crevices, folds, and straw, it is a perfect place for mold and bacteria to proliferate. Remember now folks that our mouth is the dirtiest part of our body. The best bottle I have for the last few years is my Hydroflask 21 oz. and 24 oz. in standard mouth. I then replaced the cap with the Klean Kanteen sport cap 3. The Klean Kanteen sport cap is easy to clean. No straw to clean and the designed is simple, efficient and leak proof. I opted to get the bright green Klean Kanteen sport cap 3 in green so I can easily see any mold, discoloration accumulation inside the cap. A black cap can easily hide mold or unwanted growth!
