The AVI-8 Flyboy calls back to the World War I–era, when young pilots (or “flyboys”) suited up to soar through the skies. The watch's dial is slightly textured, sporting large easy-to-read numerals for a vintage look. At 12 o’clock is a large numeral 0, and the crown is situated at 2— offbeat design choices that add a touch of style. Skeletonized hands create a sense of airiness, and the running seconds hand within the subdial at 3 o’clock is shaped like a plane, too.
