Great sounding keys for workstation, Knob is fun for rhythm gaming. Very Chonky for price. BT can be a bit laggy at times, but can be overlooked for overall great experience
Received a faulty product and still have not gotten a replacement.
I received my keyboard two weeks ago only to test it and find out that most of the function keys were not working unless another key was pressed at the same time. I attempted to change the switches, but that didn't resolve the issue, leading me to believe I received a product with some defect in the PCB. I contacted support that day and was able to send the keyboard back shortly after, but still have not received any word on a replacement unit.
MostlySilentHi @MostlySilent This is Amy with Drop Support. I can see your replacement has been transmitted to the warehouse for processing. We're experiencing a temporary warehouse backlog and our team is working efficiently to process orders quickly. We will send you the tracking number as soon as it ships. Thank you for your patience.
amycsWell, I received my replacement - without ever receiving any tracking information letting me know it was coming - and this new keyboard has the same issue as the last. No other keyboard I use has this issue, and I'm unable to find anyone having the same issue as myself online. Support has still not acknowledged any of my emails I have sent in.
I like the shine through effect. I bought it for this reason. I wish the symbol portion of the key caps was larger. The lighting does not extend to the lower portions of the key caps, i.e. the numbers. the caps lk key sometimes refuses to go back. I have to turn the keyboard on and off to get the switch operating again. I too, use the knob for volume control.
I bought this and gifted it to my sister so far she's loving it! (I personally think the look is a little outside my tastes bought I can see the appeal.
Take this review as what it is; early impressions from someone completely new to the custom keyboard world.
I'm so impressed with the build quality first of all. It feels so well put to together. My only gripe is that, from the pictures and focus on it in the marketing, you would think that the media knop is metal, it is in fact just plastic. Kinda disappointing, but for the price I don't think you can really expect it.
The software is easy to use and understand and the lighting looks great. Coming from razer, I was used to full custom backlighting, but I really didn't miss it.
The latency for the wireless mode really wasn't a problem for me.
All in all, really happy with my purchase. I have a feeling this keyboard will be with me for a long time
I wasn't expecting to love this keyboard as much as I do, but from the backlighting options to being able to switch controls this keyboard is a real winner in my book. Maybe I'm the only one :) but I personally prefer the feel of the Gat browns to the Holy Pandas in my LotR Elvish keyboard from Drop. The most inconvenient aspect of the ENTR at the time of writing is that none of the function keys are compatible with Mac OS - making the Azio Foqo a no-brainer in this department. Wireless connectivity is smooth and charge lasted me a good month when I turned off in between uses.
The positioning of the arrow keys does require some getting used to initially, but feels intuitive after awhile. Hands down my favorite part of using this keyboard is setting the keys to light up with the rainbow colors upon each stroke. And while I honestly don't look at the keys while I'm typing, it brings some fun to my work day whenever I catch a glance!
Out of the box the keyboard came fully assembled.
This means it comes as photoed below - with keycaps, switches, and a metal case. That big knob feels great and is the best part of the board after the price. For $110 this isn't bad at all!
What is most shocking to me is no stabilizer wire rattle. I haven't taken it apart yet to check if they lubed up or grease. Here is a video of just a quick video of the sound.
Now the stabs don't sound great, but the board doesn't sound bad or super hollow. If i were to take it apart i'd probably try tape mod or foam mod (just a small thin film over PCB and push switches through it). The other thing i'd probably do is swap out the switches. Gat brown aren't my personal favorite but i'm sure it's someone's favorite out there lol.
