I sang my praises for this board when I got it but now one of the LEDs has gone out. Azio is happy to help but the options are either send your board off for repairs/replacement with no promise that you'll ever get it back, or have them send you the replacement first but they authorize your payment for the amount the board is worth and if your old board never makes it back they charge you in full. Since postal services are all kind of crap none of these options appealed to me and I chose to keep it as is.
BlueCrownedCan say this has happened to mine it intermittently flickers on but mostly stays off its the page up button though so not much lost just kinda distracting when it flickers.
AdremannMan it was my PgUp button too! Seems like it may be a consistent fault. I put my Idea23 gold flake artisan on it since that cap looks best without a backlight. Note that I never actually use PgUp...
BlueCrownedThe LEDs flicker regularly now, as if they are not getting enough power or like a fluorescent bulb just starting to go bad. Really distracting.
BlueCrownedSame here the spacebar started doing this thankfully nome of the letter keys yet. I'll be replacing mine sometime soon. Not worth the money for the QC.
BlueCrownedSounds like they did what any company could do. Your distrust of their process is what's getting in the way here. As much as you flagrantly spend on artisan keycaps, I wouldn't be too worried about a $50 keyboard.
psicloneAre you kidding me? I've bought about four artisans, sold two and gotten a refund on one because it was defective. The one I still have is worth about $15. I also have one that was a gift, i.e. free. I can't afford to "flagrantly spend on artisan keycaps" nor can I afford to be charged an additional $50 because a defective keyboard return was lost in transit. Some of the keys don't work correctly now. It was a waste of money.
psicloneThey aren't charging me to send it back, but things get lost in transit and if it gets mishandled by the courier and winds up lost I can't afford $50 for a replacement when these keyboards go bad in less than a year.
BlueCrownedI have a mix: Kailh Speed Pinks on the number pad, Gateron Browns on some areas and Kailh Pro Burgundies on the alphas. I just ordered Hako True Switches and Aliaz Switches (70g) to test out on the board. I wouldn't consider another board after my GMMK, except for Topre, but even then that's way too expensive to me. I just don't see a better value out there. Completely customizable. I just wish they would make their software controlled lighting more easily adjustable.
BlueCrownedJust put HAKO Trues in, which I didn't think I liked at first, but they're very nice....just wish they were quieter. I also put in some Aliaz, but I can't say the tactility is all that noticeable...however, they are very quiet...not as quiet as the ones I modded, but quiet.
