I wish these keysets were available for RGB boards with non-standard bottom rows (Corsair, Razer, et al).
The drop for Vortex's doubleshot shinethrough PBT caps ended a while ago and shipped out today, I imagine the drop will be returning in the future with how much support it got. That set supports non standard bottom rows and I got mine for my K70, had all black and all white options with tons of compatibility keys.
Check out MaxKeyboard. They print backlit caps for keyboards with non-standard bottom rows. Personally have 3 sets from them.
You can find the same sets (or at least the legends look the same) with non-standard bottom rows on aliexpress if you search for "backlit pbt corsair"
zhhk – Keyword there is "print."
Backlit caps aren't rare, but quality doublshot shinethrough ones are a lot harder to find, especially in PBT over ABS.
Twacrs – My total cost was $36.74 for a full set to slap on my K70. Drop was $28.99 and shipping was $7.75 to the Northwestern US. About a month long wait on them for the drop I was in, so it's a wait and as someone new to MD it was a shock, but it flew by pretty quickly and the anticipation is nice. I purchased them on March 20th and it shipped yesterday, April 27th.
FFFFFF – I've heard that some of the AliExpress sellers are chinese clones and might not be as nice as the standard caps, but I can't speak from experience so take my words with a healthy dose of salt.
From a quick search for these, I'm fairly convinced there are Chinese knockoffs - there are multiple listings for these on various somewhat-sketchy sites, all with the same exact broken-english description which warns you to
"Please allow 1-3mm error due to manual measurement. Please make sure you do not mind before you bid."
"Due to the difference between different monitors, the picture may not reflect the actual color of the item. "
All of which screams "not legit" to me
Of course not, those are the highest echelon of QA. Of course not everybody uses an 8k, HDR, Adobe RGB monitor, so of course the colors won't be perfect.
They hand measure each cap so that they can take note of the errors made to warn you beforehand, true marketing geniuses.
(Obvious sarcasm is obvious, these are a riot)
Thanks for the link. I put in a request for them so I'll get notified if/when it comes back. I don't mind the stock keycaps on my Corsair Strafe, but having the option to upgrade to PBT would be great.
Glad to help, mine should be in my hands in about a week from now, the date was end of the day Thursday, May 4th.
I'll be posting pictures and what I can of a review (It won't be professional). I'll basically post everything I personally wished was available information both picture wise and use case/situation wise.
