Hello! We are getting these watches directly from Ball. Ball has confirmed that although the line is older, the assemblage as well as the tritium tubes are from January 2019.

Besides tiny logo on the dial and crown what exactly makes this watch BMW? Are any of the parts made by BMW ?

I believe these are actually vintage watches that may date back as far as 2012 when this watch, and several other BMW designs were first introduced. If you're seriously considering a purchase, theres a nice write up discussing the entire assortment here: https://www.ablogtowatch.com/ball-for-bmw-full-watch-collection/

I'm a fan of Ball watches, and this is a pretty great price, but do be aware, these things are huge! They measure large, but they "wear" even larger. The biggest reason to buy a Ball is the tritium luminescence, although you can get that for a fraction of the price on MB Microtek, Deep Blue and even sometimes on Luminox (although those watches die quickly). And assorted others. The other reasons to get a Ball are the legacy (they're the original railway brand) and the aggressive tool-like style that they actually live up to, meaning they look tough and they really are. But for reading in the dark and surviving a beating, a G-Shock will do you better. Which makes this more a vanity purchase, as an alternative to a dress watch. But it's just too big to wear with shirt cuffs. Def. a try before you buy sitch.

TCatI really like this watch but my wrists a very skinny. I usually can't go above 40 mm, although I do have a Zodiac Seadragon that's 44mm. I'll make an exception for dive watches.

Jomashop has 7 different Ball Automatic chronographs starting at $100 less than this unsold and unloved atrocity. Be sure to view the coupon codes to see the price. If you see a red coupon deal icon, that means you have to actually click on the watch to go to its listing page and see the price after the coupon code. And no, I’m not affiliated with any of these grey market sites, which is why I’m not linking. I’m just fed up with Drop disrespecting us as customers so I will be doing my best every day to point you towards the exact same or very similar to the watches you see here, at the same or better price, at sites that respect the customer. Paying attention yet, drop?

They also made versions in Celsius and for the true nerds, Kelvin. Still saving/waiting for prices to drop on the Hydrocarbon NEDU. It’s a titanium auto chronograph with dive bezel that allows underwater use of the chronograph. Very useful....for my um, daily commute? Still want it though. In blue.

Why should I pay 1300$ for a BMW giveaway?

rodenwaldSeriously doubt BMW was giving these away (possibly a gift with $230,000 purchase?) but if you can provide details otherwise, I'd like to read about it.

7750 or sw500 what else could it be in a swiss made watch? This watch does have a 7750 chronometer grade movement so it’s probably actually adjusted in at least 3 positions although the 7750 unadjusted can be very accurate when regulated here they go the extra mile ball has a real following and a proven reliable brand but for the logo on the dial and not really appealing to me this is a good solid well built should last a few lifetimes watch at a decent price btw i didn’t bother to do my homework on prices im sure someone else will do that and give us their findings

Yeah the good thing is that these specifications define a maximum deviation and the actual performance is usually better by a good margin 😃 You have a nice Bulova ⌚✅ indeed if the model has that 🅱️ you've got mineral crystal.

Too bad the BMW logo is on front as I am not a fan of the car brand. I love Ball Watch and own one as quality is quite high but BMW logo ruins it. I would of accept it if it was in the back only. Cheers

Nice watch, great sporty style, but would prefer without the BMW emblem; it just sort of takes away the authenticity of this being a "Ball" watch, not sure what the movement is! probably their take on a 7750 or Sw500 base like Raymond Weil and many others. I must admit I do prefer "Ball" to "Oris" when it comes to automotive linked watches but again I do prefer no emblems ,except for the watch manufacturer. My personal opinion is that it makes them look cheap or like a free giveaway with the car. Also this one does seem a little pricey compared to the Audi Oris offering. But credence to Drop they are endeavouring to give us as wide a choice as they can within their business model. I wonder what they would charge for a similar non BMW Ball sports chrono; I think I will have a dig around on the net. But to all of you who do buy this lovely watch, please enjoy.

Thanks, but unfortunately Jomashop add on around $250 for shipment and taxes to Australia!! for a watch at this price level; I have tried to buy watches here before. Other companies in U.S. don't!! i. e. Ashford. It is quite confusing, but I do appreciate the info. I think Ball might be my next quality watch purchase, as it does seem good value for money and on of the best for the lume in dark conditions. We'll see just what effect this current economic crisis has on prices and incomes in the next few months.
