The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H4s are something of an iconic set of Bluetooth headphones—sporting that impressive B&O design language alongside impressively focused and powerful sound. That’s thanks in equal parts to the 40-millimeter dynamic drivers within each earcup that offer a 91-decibel sensitivity and to the expert EQ tuning from the audio designers at B&O Read More

Looks high end and has acceptable sound. Probably good for movies and casual listening while traveling.
The set has a pretty severe channel imbalance which is disappointing but fixable.
Not thrilled but it will be a decent travel option if I'm not in the mood for iems.
I have owned many pairs of over-ear headphones both bt and non bt. dollar for dollar this is an absolute 5 star purchase. I am not aware of anything else this sound quality for the pricepoint.
The h4 are tremendously comfortable, have very soft ear cups. I wear a size 7 hat if that helps anyone.
Sound quality wise it is on par with anything else on the market (my daily wear is airpod max and these are completely on par).
@drop customer service- please do an H95 run and I will buy!
Sound quality is good - nothing exceptional, but for BT it sounds full-range and no weird peaks or valleys to my "over-50" ears.
Have only connected to my phone (Android 14) and my M3 Mac, but pairing was easy and uneventful.
BUT - these, for me, fail in the comfort category. Perhaps with some fiddling I can improve them slightly, but probably not overall.
I don't have a particularly large noggin, but these clamp on my head REALLY hard. This makes the ear cups really tightly sealed - the effects being there's almost no ambient room sounds passed in, and they get hot on your head.
Biggest issue tho is the "top of the head pressure point" - if there's one thing I dislike in a set of cans it's that top-of-the-head headache you get from a tight band. The cans aren't particularly heavy but this makes them feel like they're 5#
As I said, I will try adjusting them a bit to see if I can make it OK for me......
Overall I like them - but I have a feeling had I tried them out at BestBuy I'd have walked away. I _have_ to choose a "Recommend" rating, so I'm going with "No" - but it's very middle of the road.
Refurb was no problem, with my set I'd have never guessed these were factory reconditioned. Box is no frills, included cables are clearly new. Included image-based instructions required 60 second review to understand all functions (which are typical)
EDIT -
After some serious seat time with "better sources of audio" I am revising my review and adding a star and changing this to a "Yes" on the recommendation.
What I like -
The sound is REALLY great. Well balanced. I've spent considerable time on Bandcamp, Suno, and with my FLAC collection and really like the sound.
The BT connectivity. I don't have a lot of BT devices so I won't comment on this too "deep" - but no other device I have has had the range that this one does. I can get SERIOUSLY on the other side of my house before signal drops. That said, when it drops it drops "hard" - no spottiness about it.
Slowly getting used to the feel of wearing these, but still finding them uncomfortable after only an hour or so.....
Second Edit -
I have a ticket into support for an issue - these, out of the box, never charge past 80%. I thought maybe after a few charge cycles this might improve, but it has not. I do not feel this is appropriate - a refurbished item should have a new battery in it.
