I bought this product about 3 years ago at full price. My main stereo system is about 300k in cost.
This BO gear is awesome, if this is the model with the google assistant. If not, I am mot sure I would bite.
The sound quality is excellent, the software is superb (I am a software engineer, so my bar is high).
With the fifty percent discount, I have grave holistic concerns with the broader economy. This is yet one more signal there is economic turnoil ahead.
sdakeOr this is just an overpriced smart speaker that Bang and Olufsen mistakenly believed was worth $1700. It looks great, but so do many other smart speakers for under a grand.
This will be kind of a mini review of the Beosound Level. This is a great speaker for a smaller room. Such as placing on a dresser or bookshelf. It comes with many features, and has the signature B&O sound and design.
Design- This is a very well designed speaker. I prefer it to the A5. It has a aluminum frame, and a polymer composite back. It does not feel cheap at all. The plastic is like a very dense and subtly rubberized feel. I just like the design because it is so adaptive. You can change the sound in different ways, and it just works so well. The wood is very sharp looking, and it just snaps on the frame.
Sound- Ok, so this where its a little interesting. This speaker has the signature B&O sound, especially with Mozart. It has rich full bass, warm midrange, and a sparkly treble response. It is great for genres like orchestral, jazz, anything that doesn't have super intense, distorted bass. I would suggest not playing Hip Hop at all. EDM is great, just can't play super loudly. If you play around 60-65 percent the speaker is perfect, not distortion or DSP interference. I never go to full volume on any speakers so for the safety of it. I would place this one between the Balance and A5. It is better than the A5, but not Balance level.
