Not a comment on the pricing but just to say that I currently have about a dozen BRK's (though not this model) and the build quality & value is superb. They also have an unparalleled 'no questions asked' policy on their blades & sheaths. MD hasn't done much of a job to show the details of this knife in my opinion. Check out KSF & DLT for far better photos. Photo included is of one of my BRK 'Esstentials'

Ogen_the_MaticFully agree with these comments. Bark River hand-grinds and finishes their knives. They are known for their convex grind (on most models) and their superb heat treatment. While A2 is their most commonly-used steel, they do use others. The Gameskeeper, for example, is also made in 3V and M4 (recent) and occasionally other steels as well.
Nice knife! I like the clip point on this model. I'm not a fan of the groove BRK has been using lately, though. Too blocky-looking.

billcWouldn't this particular model be an excelllent choice for their often rumored venture into folding knives though?
