I like how the video lists "make new friends" as a selling point.
If the girl in the next seat just saw you sticking an open can of coke into your jacket pocket, you'd have to be one charming motherf***er to explain that away.

They almost had me. If it had *17* features I would have been sold. Once they find a way to add the fold-out tactical baby stroller and a discrete pocket for my EDC belt sander, I'm in,

This item has been billed as “The World’s Best Travel Jacket.” I doubt it. I bought one last year, but I later returned it.
Experienced travelers dress in layers so they can easily adjust for different temperatures. I would describe this jacket as medium weight, so, if you take it on your trip, you may also need to pack a light jacket. It’s more efficient to pack a light jacket and a couple warm under layers.
If you do plan to layer with this jacket, be aware that it seems to run a little small. The sizing chart indicated that I was at the high end of medium. I bought a large, just to be safe, and I’m glad I did. The jacket is fairly snug, so I could only wear one other warm layer under it.
I wanted a jacket with a hood, but this one has a serious problem. The hood is so deep it hangs over my face so far it is difficult to see. Some jackets have an adjustable velcro strap that can be used to pull the hood back away from your face. This one does not. There is also nothing to keep the eye mask up in the hood, so sometimes it also falls down over my face. In order to see, I have to wear a baseball cap under the hood. If you have to wear a hat anyway, why do you need a hood at all?
Why would anyone want a “drink pocket?” The promotional video shows a young man putting an open soda can in that pocket. He’ll regret doing so the first time he bends over.
Then there are the built it “gloves.” I suppose, in some circumstances, they might be useful. However, when you don’t need them, they are just in the way. You have to stuff them back up the sleeves each time you put on the jacket, and they make the jacket unnecessarily difficult to take off. I predict that most people will cut them out.
The neck pillow seems okay, although a little shallow. It does inflate and deflate fast. It takes a while to figure this out because the jacket does not come with any instructions. The pen is a gimmick that pulls off every time you unzip the jacket, unless you are careful to use the zipper pull and not the pen. I’m sure I will lose the pen.
Most people who travel already own gloves, a neck pillow, and a pen. They could have left several of the gimmicks out of this jacket and lowered the price. Of course, then it would just have been an average jacket.

drefsonYou don't know what I like my soda to do when I bend over; don't judge me.
Wouldn't mind paying more for a jacket with 21+ features as 15 simply isn't enough for all the things I need my jacket to do (automatic kindle page advancing? deep tissue massage? hellooooooo).

Sister got me the Baubax bomber when she saw it on Kickstarter. Here's my feedback. 1. Not warm. It'll add 5-10°F comfort. I got the chills at an indoor conference. 2. Loud. Shuffle around at your AirBnB or in a conference and if you have any decency you'll worry you're disturbing people nearby. 3. Difficult to put on without spending a minute stuffing the thumbhole sleeves back up the sleeve. 4. European zipper. Mirrored from American: you have to use the opposite hands to affix and zip. 5. Epaulets are useless and ugly, and uncomfortable if a backpack's straps rest on the snap. 6. Eye mask drapes comfortably over the eyes and can be moved out of the way easily. 7. Make sure you remove the pen to wash. 8. Neck pillow probably not worth using. You have to blow it up by mouth. That'll get gross. Easy to remove and discard. 9. Sizing was slim, which is perfect for my body and today's look. All you rotund motherlovers take note.
All in all, I would make appropriate changes – add warmth, reverse the zipper, remove epaulets – and it would easily and very much be worth the asking price. Still, at $120-130 it's not bad.

CHICKENGODFor this jacket, if you are between sizes I recommend sizing up. We had a few men in the office try it on and it runs true to size, but a tad narrow in the shoulders. Measuring your favorite jacket and comparing it to the BauBax size chart might help as well. @CHICKENGOD

kyleemjYes, I second that wholeheartedly!
Looks like I am out $120! No return for a small, which usually fit well, but this is cut small across the shoulders so one size up is certainly recommended.
