This is much more a legal weapon rather than a lethal weapon. I have a Buck nanomicro preshrunk knife that is hard to distinguish from the bits in my pocket. But it doesn't make any pretenses about being a real knife. I can't believe that I am the only person to succumb to a facepalm after seeing this. I recently got a Bestech. I really like it.

It would be nice knowing at least an approximate shipping date. A week? A month? 6 months? Keeps people from getting 'antsy'.

I see in comments that some don't receive a numbered knife like is stated. Is this true? Cause I would like one that is numbered.

Bestech is definitely producing Goblins again, according to their Instagram....I wouldn't be surprised if they drop here again. Make sure you hit that request button 👍

Ugh, I want one so bad, despite the fact that it is a bestech, so I know it will feel enormous and I will never carry it.

I don't know if I should feel contrite or self- satisfied. Actually, the reason this happened was that there was no sound with the video so My Girl spontaneously began playing in my head .... and the rest followed. Thank you for the kind words.

Is that standard Hoppe's No. 9 in the bottle? I bought that bottle meaning to replace the oil with something better but found #9 too useful to just get rid of.
For my knives, I've been using M-Pro7 Lpx Gun Oil, though it seems Hoppe's has bought out the brand now.

Yes, standard Hoppe's No9 in a bottle with a needle applicator https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013R67A6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_IPPnBbQTYK5N2
It's down a couple bucks to $5 a bottle right now.
I bought it as my first good oil to try, and haven't bought anything else to compare it to yet lol So, can't say if it's the best out there, but can say it's keeping me satisfied so far

Glad to see this came back. Was hoping it might return at a slightly lower price point, but still in. Hope we reach the lower price at least 👍
The Goblin is still one of my favorites for EDC and small tasks

I know not many of these sold, but a few did....anyone get theirs yet? Thoughts? Opinions? Regrets? I'm really enjoying the Goblin, and quite curious what others think of the Imp.

I've got a BG01 Lion, gifted my brother a BG03 Swordfish, and I've got the 1705(? Tiny one) and the 1706, both in Ti+S35VN.
The budget models are superb in my experience, they easily match or outmatch other full-size working knives in terms of their action and general build.

You know.... I bought the Goblin in natural, was kind of kicking myself for not getting the carbon. For a minute I was almost tempted to buy this one and see if they're swappable lol
I just came back to this out of curiosity and thought this was a bit funny: Drop is limited to 88 units Only 17 have sold And both the natural and gold have been sold out for a while now.
What, they had like 80 carbons in this deal and then a couple of each of the others to bulk up the buying options? Haha
Interesting too that carbon on the Goblin cost extra, but same price for the imp.
Maybe I'll try the handle swap if they bring this back at a more realistic price after seeing how few sold at the current price

For what it's worth, the only other place I see these in stock (white mountain) wants $158 for them, and they list the msrp at $245, which is outlandish
But yeah, still think the price is too high on this smaller version. And i mean that across the board- from the msrp, to white mountain charging the same price for the Goblin and Imp, to MD charging more for the smaller version.
Show me a place that has $130 as their regular price and I'll watch there for a sale

Also, BladeHQ sells it for $158 and states it lists for $199. I agree, the price looks pretty darn good.

Initial thought: would've been nice if they waited a month or two to put this out, so people who just bought the Goblin could see how they like that one before ordering another
Then I looked at the price again, and realized this smaller version is selling for MORE than the Goblin did??

Geeez..., the Goblin was bad enough..., now this IMP thing. It’s almost a waste of good S35VN steel. Moreover, even the lowest price point seems ridicuously high. All this coming from a somewhat start-up/unknown knife company. Given the quality control issues on some of their knives I currently have, they REALLY need to concentrate on QC, and have consistent positive results, before they set out to display remnants of wet dreams. At this time, Bestech, as a company, is too new to put out weird stuff. Suggest they concentrate on the basics, before getting edgy... (and, no, I don’t have to apologize for this note).

No... there has been no one to address issues with Bestech knives. Since Bestech knives are made in China, to date, the only representatives in the US are retail outlets, e.g., Blade Head Quarters, Amazon, Ebay, and, of course, Massdrop, along with a host of independent dealers. They only sell the knives. Most of these outlets offer the feature for a refund or exchange to occur within a specific time frame for a ‘defective product’. So if you wanted to get Bestech to ‘service’ your knife to address a defect or repair, under a warranty claim, it’s off to China you go... Keep in mind, the same holds true for Kizer, We, etc. Unless I am mistaken, outside of retail outlets, these guys do not have a US presence to address warranty claims...

You are probably right, I dont think they have any US based warranty locations. Do want to note though that Kizer has been very good at customer service for me to date. I've reached out to them and have received fairly prompt responses from representatives of their company (in China). They sent me some replacement screws and a pocket clip at no cost for the items or shipping.
