Feb 16th batch ship date is today. Anybody get a tracking number yet?
Not yet, I just came here to find out the same thing.
Nope, still waiting: "order placed with vendor"
Just got my email update.....
Due to an unexpected delay, these orders may ship later than the original estimated ship date. Our apologies for any inconvenience. If we find that the drop is going to be delayed by more than 30 days, we will let you know.
If you would prefer to cancel your order, please contact Community Support using the “Contact Support” button on your transactions page and our Community Support Team will be able to help cancel your order up until it is ready for shipment.
MAY ship later than expected? Lol well, yeah, we're already days past the expected ship date.
And how does one decide if they want to cancel if no updated expected date is provided?
Don't understand why there should be any delay on a group buy of a production knife from any retailer who knew in advance that they should be holding certain amount of stock for this offering. Very lame MD, gotta say this is unexpected and disappointing. You need to hold your 'partners' responsible for fulfilling the deals being offered here.
I got the same email and immediately did exactly what it said in order to cancel my order. The reply came back, "Your order has been packed for shipment and should head to the courier in 3-5 business days. When the courier scans the package, you will receive an email with tracking details. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with."
I'm not sure if they just ignored my request hoping that I would forget about it or if, even though it's not going to the courier until as late as next week, it's "packed for shipment" so I'm out of luck. They must have been packing it as I wrote my email... Also, is "packed for shipment" the same as "packed and ready for shipment"? If it is ready for shipment why is it going to take up to 5 business days for it to ship? So many questions :)
Is that saying MD has the products and is in the process of splitting them to individual packaging for a courier to take to FedEx?
Or is that the vendor has packed them and courier is taking them to MD?
Sounds like the former, based on the comment about individual shipping info being ready once the courier scans it, right?
That might explain why it will be a couple days between getting the first ones packaged and having the whole order ready.
But then it's weird that the transaction page still says "order placed with vendor" and hasn't changed to say MD has the items in hand
So many questions indeed
Wish the transaction page kept a history of each step in the process, rather than only showing the most recent step with no date stamp
I don't know that this answers your question but when I asked to go ahead and cancel the order I was told, "You can refuse the package once it arrives but at this point we cannot cancel it." So I don't know why the comment about being able to cancel was even in the first email. I can't refuse the order because they don't bring it to the door 8-/
Lol don't worry man, i didn't expect you to have any answer other than a shrug and "that's MassDrop for ya"
Just got word that mine "shipped" today (the 12th), ie: shipping label was created.
Now the wait to see how long they can take to get it the 4 hour journey from NJ to Upstate NY lol
I got the ship email just now. Odd they would throw everyone into a panic first thing in the morning of the day it would ship anyway.
I don't think they initially planned on shipping them today...
